Online Advertisement Leads to Armed Robbery

WEST MELBOURNE, Florida - A Melbourne man who responded to an online advertisement became the victim of an armed robbery early Wednesday morning in the City of West Melbourne, according to Lieutenant Richard Cordeau of the West Melbourne Police Department.

William Thomas Pease and Nicole Marie Hendershot are in police custody on charges of Armed Robbery and Armed Kidnapping.  The other female has yet to be identified.

The victim was picked up in a vehicle by two females in Melbourne then driven to a residence in West Melbourne.  As soon as the victim and the two females entered the residence, a man who was already inside the house pointed a gun at the victim’s head and demanded his money and personal effects. As the man held the gun to the victim’s head, one of the females then began removing the victim’s cash, cell phone, and wallet from his person.

The male suspect ordered the victim to get back in the vehicle where he was driven to several ATM machines to withdraw more money. While driving to a bank, the victim escaped from the vehicle when they stopped at a traffic light on Hollywood Blvd.
