The “Summer Feed and Read Program” will begin on Tuesday June 11 and meals will be provided twice a week.According to an email from the United Way of Brevard County, “food will be distributed to participating locations for children 18 years old and under. During the lunch, children will be read to by community volunteers or have an instructional program on nutrition by the Department of Agriculture. After lunch on both days, children will be given nutritionally fortified packs of food to take home. Children will also receive one reading level appropriate book per week.”
